This definitely goes hand in hand with my Eat Pray Love day, where I found myself in a relaxation day with the art of finding myself.

After watching my girl RiRi on Sunday, I was while flipping channels I came across a story about an inspirational women named Amma. Now I have heard of her before, but I really didn’t know too much about what she did or what she stood for. The more and more I began to watch, my eyes got wider and wider, my heart felt warm and fuzzy and I had goose bumps galore. To the western world she is well known as the “Hugging Saint,” a woman who truly believes in love. Loving without expectation. Not only is Amma a Saint, but she prides herself and her followers in helping the world. One step at a time. A true humanitarian. “Our highest, most important duty in this world is to help our fellow beings.” Like wowsers ma dowsers she is an earth Angel! HEART!

Well guess where I went yesterday? To one of Amma’s Ashrams here in Ontario. Georgetown to be exact, with acres of land on a farm! The minute I drove up, my heart was tingling. As I walked up to introduce myself to some of the devotees, I was greeted with glowing smiles and just plain old happy dappy people. Yesterday was prep for a soup kitchen they host every month. I got to volunteer prepping food and had the opportunity to walk through the garden and help pick vegetables for the locals. It was an organic persons dream come true. Fruits, vegetables and honey!

Some people travel hours on a plane to find a serene Ashram to help ground themselves and give seva (selfless service) when we have this beautiful place in our very own Ontarian back yard.
