My Pumpkin Spice and Everything Nice!

Because October isn’t complete without pumpkin patch pictures! I may not be the brains behind the operation but I gotta say that I’m glad we went! Angelina talked about pumpkins the entire way there and was in heaven while running through the patch. It’s the simplicity that children love and that really makes you realize how grateful we should be. They may be small but these little people are bundles of knowledge and lessons.

Feeling grateful today!

Big Red Lips Pics

It’s no secret that I love bright lipsticks. My go to hands down is always a WOAH momma red! It grabs attention, makes a boring outfit look amaze balls and most importantly it makes my lips look way bigger then what they actually are… Thank God!

Sooo while I was on one of my shopping expeditions for the shop I saw big red lips just staring at me. Big red lips saying my name… But in a purse! Something about it, I just couldn’t walk away from. It was so loud and out there and I had absolutely no clue if I could pull it off. So I walked away, head held down like I had been defeated. (Dramatic I know!) Then I came home and I starting thinking about it… We all know when that happens, we made a big mistake and should’ve bought it!!! Ugghhh! Story of my life!

Originally I thought to myself… Purse? What purse… You mean diaper bag?! That is usually where I store all my stuff. But with me being a now confident mom maybe it’s time to step up the style game again.

Needless to say, it’s on ita way and I’m sooo excited for me! And what I’m most excited about is taking the cheesy pics with my purse in front of my face! LIKE COME ON!!!!! So I would like to apologize in advance for the absolutely cool big red lips pics that will soon be on the way, it’s happening!

PARITATIME SHOP and FREE SHIPPING!!!! Love is in the air!!

It happened, it finally happened! I have my very own online shop! PARITATIME SHOP!

I got to introduce this to the world this Sunday and I have to say that I am so grateful for all the love I’ve received so far.

This new adventure started with a preggo woman sitting on the sofa nine months ago. I started analyzing what I really truly love doing. The answer was simple. Blogging and fashion are my thing. More importantly sharing my love for these two things means the absolute world to me. For the first time in a long time I love what I do! Heck, sometimes I wake up at 3 just to do some shopping, see what’s trending, what’s hot and what are the must haves for us all! Love is in the air!

This morning I woke up with a thought. So I did some changing. I have incorporated some free shipping just because you deserve it! So shipping for all orders in Canada and the States that are $30 and over is FREE!!! Yup, I said it! And everywhere else is the world is a flat $12.00!

So come visit me at

Bat Them Lashes

First and foremost I would just like to say, I’m actually starting to feel like my old self again. I am not at my pre-preggo weight yet, but my body is finally beginning to look and feel tighter. Angelina is almost 6 months old and I am now 13lbs away from my original weight! WOOOHOOOO! To some that may still seem like a lot, but if you remember what I was working with originally (56lbs), I’m close! I can finally see the light!!!!

With that being said, I’ve been giving myself little makeovers here and there in the last little while to give me that “you can do it feeling”! First it started with the makeup, specifically my concealer and lipsticks – colors and changing up the application process and instantaneously felt better about my face and my morning routine. Then the hair – I’m back to black! I always have a light hair melt down and go back to my one and only sexy lover – black shiny hair. Something about it… LOVE! Then bought me some new clothes – not a lot, just a tad to get the closets creative juices flowing. Sometimes you just need that pick me up, you know?!?!

Then it happened. I was on Facebook and a girlfriend of mine posted a picture of her new vava voom lashes. They were long, Kardashian like, ultra vavoomy magical lashes. Basically it looks like you were wearing fake lashes, BUT YOUR NOT! I know… Right?!?! I had to order. Then as I waited for my lash magic to come in the mail I watched endless amounts of YouTube videos of people’s reviews and tutorials which only got me going even more. I got it first thing this week…. I told myself I would wait a couple weeks before doing a blog on it just to be sure… But I really honestly couldn’t wait. It actually works magic. Like David Coperfield magic!

Younique 3D Fibre Lash Mascara. YouTube it! Google it! I’ve attached pics below for you to see for yourself!

If I wasn’t feeling good about myself before, you better believe that was the cherry on top. I do this every morning now… To stay in with Angie or go out. I just feel… Dare I say… Supermodel-ish. If you were to look at my phone… There are a lot of selfies happening. It’s cause and effect!

True story, then I’m done. I swear! I went to Shoppers Drug Mart for some alone time (isn’t that what all moms do on their break?) and was in the makeup section looking at what’s on sale and where I can get extra points (again, doesn’t all moms do that?), when a total stranger came up to me to say my lashes looked great and if they were real or if I had extensions. I almost peed my pants! It’s one thing when my husband validates it, but a stranger… Come on!!!!

So where can you get this secret potion? To purchase, it’s kinda like an Avon thing. You need a rep to purchase yada yada yada… So I’ve taken the liberty of making an account to hopefully make it easier for you. This isn’t a plug for me to do sales, its just… Well you’ll see! YouTube it! It speaks for itself.

It’s a direct purchase online of $35.00 with a flat shipping rate, no taxes or customs fees. Here’s the link!

Kim Kardashians got nothing on me! Say whatttt!!!

Happy Friday!

My Morning Makeup Routine in 15 seconds!

Okay so I’ve been getting a lot of messages from people asking me what the heck this Beauty Blender spongey thingy ma-bobber is, so I thought I would make this into a quick post for you.

The video I originally shared on my paritaTIME Facebook page is a little long winded and lets be honest who has that much time in the morning to get themselves ready?!?!?!?

So I used my handy cell phone and my Instagram video App to make you all a quick 15 SECOND video so you get the idea of how easy it is to use. Now I did my morning routine, which honestly takes no more than 5-6 minutes to do and keeps me going for the day.

Where did I hear about this Beauty Blender you may ask? Well I follow Lilly Gallichi on Instagram and she was sharing some of her makeup secrets. Shes a little too glamour doll for me but I loved this once I saw some YouTubers using it. Because you use it wet, you avoid that caked on makeup look. All the… dare I say creases… ughhh… actually are visibly reduced or even gone because you get the foundation really worked in everywhere while still being gentle on your face. I actually believe that this gives me an airbrushed flawless look once you get the hang of it!

So heres what I do:

My foundation routine is pretty simple.

  1. I start with a moisturizing cream all over my face.
  2. I put my BB (Beauty Blender Dupe) under water, drenching then squeezing a couple of times, to get that puppy really going. I wipe off any excess water and set aside.
  3. Then to the concealer, I put a couple of dots under my eyes and using the Beauty Blenders pointy tip I can really blend it in nicely.
  4. Then  to apply my liquid foundation I either pour about a dime size of foundation on the back on my hand and applying with the round side of the Beauty Blender and tap tap tapping away or if i’m tight for time I put a couple of dots of foundation directly on my face and dab like mother with the Beauty Blender (round edge again) to blend it all in.
  5. If you want a dewy look (which is totally noticeable in my video!!!) BINGO BANGO you are DONE!! If not, use a loose powder in your T-zone. That is it!

Magic waiting to happen! xoxo

I can’t believe I am sharing my no makeup face (not to mention my ungroomed eyebrows!), this is a big step guys! Please excuse the not so fancy shmancy video but I was in a time crunch with Little Miss Angelina. This is what I call Ghetto Fabulous!

Psssttt ladies… I got a secret for you!

You know when you have those days when your just not feeling it. That feeling where your pretty meter is running low no matter what you wear or how you do your hair. Even if it’s the exact same outfit and makeup you were rockin last week when you know you looked like the definition of Yonce. It happens to the best of us.

But I got the trick, it’s so simple. Lipstick! Specifically matte reds and pinks. The brighter the better! Honestly in my makeup bag I have a good handful of gorg bright lipsticks that are my go to’s. As soon as I feel blah and if eyeliner doesn’t do the trick, I whip it out. Now I know some of you may be saying welllllll lipstick doesn’t suit me, or bright colours isn’t really my thing, or I don’t have very big lips to work it, well I’m here to tell you EVERYONE can. Whether it’s for a romantic night out or to check the mailbox, if it’s that kind of day… Do it! With a little bit of confidence you can do it. Obviously the first time, you may see your reflection in the mirror and say hellll nawwwww but leave it on, don’t head for the toilet paper right away. Walk around the house, watch some tv, read some paritaTIME and then head back to the mirror. You have to give yourself some time to adjust. I remember the first time I wore a bright lipstick I felt like everyone was staring at me and not in a good way. But that’s just your boring inner self trying to ruin your lipstick experience. Ignore it! Trust me, once you get over the first couple of times wearing it, Bob will be your uncle!

Here are some of my fav MAC colours:
– Lady Danger (the Reds in the pictures below)
– Candy Yum Yum (the Pinks in the pictures below)
– Ruby Woo
– Girl About Town
– Russian Red

Can you tell which two are my fav right now?!? 🙂

Now go pucker up!

Happy Friday!

I Love Coconuts

Hi friends, sorry I’ve been MIA for the last week or so but my parents had some Angelina withdrawal after we left Winnipeg and had to get another quick dose of her. Had I known that having a baby meant that I would see my parents so much more often I would’ve done this a lot sooner!!!! She really is the gift that keeps giving!!!

Now it’s back to reality. Mother Nature and I are now officially homegirls. Angelina and I love spending a good chunk of our day chilling outside the house on our lounge chairs in the shade, listening to some music, discussing life. You know the regular things you do with your 4.5 month old baby girl. Truth be told our day usually starts off with a stroll to the park. Perfect bonding time, where Angelina gets some good Vitamin D, falls asleep with the wind in her hair and enjoys the smell of freshly cut grass and blooming flowers as we have deep conversations about butterflies, unicorns, angels… I could keep going but I’m sure you catch my drift. As for the rest of the day… Never a set plan. Whatever our hearts desire. Life is so simple yet so perfect. I swear we are meant to live on the beach! Outsidiness (new word), constant mommy and me photo shoots, singing, laughing, spitting up, slobber central, and upsy downsy time all while in the presence of my Mr. Big – the mommy version – Mr. Sun! That sounded way more witty in my head. But you get my point, It’s a love affair.

Another new found love that I have been addicted to for over a month or so and is still going strong is Coconut Water. Just writing it makes me thirsty!

There has always been people going cray cray for coconut water and I never really got it. I would put it in my smoothies but hated the taste of it on its own. Problem: I had only tried one brand, Vita Coco and it really did not get my body buzzing, my toots toddling. Then a local grocery store had some UFC (not affiliated with the fighting sport) on special. I bought a case on 12 just because it seemed like such a good deal and the first sip I took I went weak at the knees. If heaven had a beach and a coconut fell from the sky… This is that water. I personally think it taste 1000% better. It is so refreshing when it’s cold and my body just starts moving, hips start swaying and I swear my voice sounds sexier! Okay I’m totally exaggerating, but you get my point.

Heath benefits you ask?!?! Well they don’t call it Natures Gatorade for nothing. Have a looksys below at all it’s benefits!!

Happy Friday!

Angelina Angelina, please bring down your concertina!

Good weather is FINALLY here!!! All I have to say is it’s about time!

My family is addicted to good weather. But who wouldn’t be?!?! We honestly can’t get enough sun and fresh air, we thrive off of it. It just makes me want to sinnnggggg!!!!! It’s pretty safe to say that the good ol’ Mr. Sun always makes us feel happier, healthier and just vibrating with goodness. So the question left was, will our baby love it as much as us?!?!

I have taken Angelina for walks with the stroller before and she liked it but hated the sun on her face. At that point I thought, uh oh spaghettio… Houston we have a problem. Then this last weekend we went to Kensington market, it was a bit cold but she loved it. Didn’t complain once. If anything she was loving all the attention she was getting. And now today I strapped on the carrier, put her in and headed for the door. We spent an hour or so outside, looking at the grass, pebbles, talking to our neighbours and basically enjoying life! She’s one of us. She had a ball!! So rest assured, if you are looking for us this summer… You know where we will be. 🙂

Now we all have one song that is our go to song of the summer and I just had to share ours with you! It’s an oldie but a goodie. I can’t believe I didn’t know about this song before, but thanks to my lovely aunt and uncle it is now playing in our house at least a couple times a day! Play it loud and get ready to dance your booty off!!!

Capture Every Moment!

Oh my lanta, I was just going through old videos on my phone and I had a little breakdown! Okay i’ll be honest… a big breakdown. How is my little cutey patootey daughter growing up so quickly?!? She’s only 3 months and 3 days old but we have already gone through soo much and soo many different phases! All I can say is thank God we have been doing a lot of video documenting. Pictures don’t do justice at this time, trust me!!! All the new parents or parents to be out there, let me share with you the best advice given to me before Angie was born. Invest in a good camera or have a good cell phone that can catch every little perfect and not so perfect (which later on in life when you reflect will be perfect) things they do. Now more then ever when I see these moments pass by I realize its a once in a lifetime. This is such a cheesy post friends, BUT I CAN’T HELP IT!

Angie has been giving mommy and daddy daily chatfests, luckily I was able to catch the video below last week to share with you all. Her dimple, her smile, her laugh… Awwwhhhh my baby!!!!

I’ll save this for another post BUT if you have a looksy at the picture below Angelina’s ears are now pierced! I’ll share that in my next post. 🙂

Anyone know how to slow down time?!?! Freeze it for a bit?!? Anything?!?!

Anything can Really Happen! Really!!!

Angie and I had another one of those nights where she just wasn’t feeling like sticking to our routine sleep that we have worked so hard to create. So needless to say it was a late night for the mother daughter team. When our princess did fall asleep it ended up being on mommy on the sofa, thank God for the PVR. When Angie has these days it’s perfect for me to have catch up time with my shows. Now the other day PBS had a special with Dr. Wayne Dyer called Wishes Fulfilled that I had been wanting to watch. Firstly if you do not know who Wayne Dyer is Youtube him, watch any of his videos… If you are feeling short of inspiration, he’s your man. He always does it for me, always brings a positive spin on life and really does keep me on this natural hip hip happy high!!!

This is an old story but a good one that really proves that if you put it out to the Universe, anything is possible as we really do have the ability to choose our reality. The good ol’ Law of Attraction. I was initially introduced to this theory by the “The Secret” movie. It is super cheesy and it definitely has not been nominated for Best Picture but it gets the lesson across. Wishes Fulfilled explains the Law of Attraction concept but a lot better, clear and it’s Wayne Dyer COME ON! (You’ll get it once you sit through one of his videos – he really knows how to toddle my fancy.) The one thing with this Law of Attraction business is that it’s not easy and requires work on a daily basis, well more like hourly basis or minutely (that doesn’t sound like a real world ) basis. You got to wake up with an intention, believe in that intention, act as though it exists, be grateful for it and so on and so forth.

Back to my story, nine years ago I had a dream. I wanted to become a model. Like really really wanted to be a model. Now being from a small city like Winnipeg moving to Toronto seemed like the most logic place to do it. Now when I told my parents who have always been very supportive in my life, they were a bit taken aback. Their one and only little girl wanted to move and pursue a not so indian dream. It was hard to swallow at first, but as always they supported me. First on the list was finding an agency that would put me on their roster. We flew to Toronto, rented a hotel downtown, rented a car and went from one agency to another to another. Some were interested, some weren’t, some had girls similar to me already, some I didn’t fit the requirements. It was not easy. One minute I’m on cloud 9 the next was pure frustration. Then it happened. My dad was driving, I was sitting in the passenger seat and my mom was at the back. We had the AC blasting, we were all exhausted and ready to call it a day. We pulled up at the lights on Yonge and Queen St. We were facing The Bay, there was a massive poster of Naomi Campbell on the side of the building and with all my frustration I pointed at her poster and said I just want to be up there one day. Is that too much to ask?!?! If I do that, I’ll know I accomplished my dream. Then as always my parents said their encouraging words, reminded me how much they believed in me and that whatever decision I chose to make after this trip they would support me. We came back to Winnipeg, I had two agencies that were interested in me. The decision was mine. Everything moved really quickly after that, since I was considered “older” for the industry (I was twenty one) my window of opportunity was small. We jumped on it quick. Thank God for my parents, I moved to Toronto shortly after with their help. I hustled. I took any jobs the agency would get me, some paid, some not. I did some creatives, Toronto Fashion Week, editorials, novel covers, TV commercials, print and a fun Dentyne Ad. I was living my dream. I loved it.

Then I got a call from my agent, I was booked for a photo shoot with The Bay. There was a new campaign starting called ” World Party” and it was only going to be a picture of my eyes. Easy Breezy. I went in and did my thing. A couple weeks pass and my agent called to see if I had seen it yet, I had not. All he said was they decided on using an entire face shot instead of the eyes and to go to Yonge and Queen. I convinced a friend to take me that night, as we turned the corner I saw it! My dream had come true, the Universe listened! I was in the exact place I wanted to be. LITERALLY!! I cried like a baby! I couldn’t believe it! That’s when I knew that if I put my mind to ANYTHING, I could do it. Sometimes it could take a while, but I really can happen!!

That was an extremely long story, but honestly when I feel like I’m in a rut or things aren’t going my way I remind myself of that story. With a new chapter starting in my life, I have new dreams. Big ones! They aren’t easy ones either, but Excuse me Miss Universe, if you are listening… This sista means business!!! I know I’ll have to hustle, but I’m up for the challenge. Sooo look out world, big things are on their way for me!!! I can’t wait!!!

If we say it out loud, strong enough and truly mean it with every bone in our body, it will happen. It’s the Law of Attraction!

See what my dear friend Wayne Dyer sparked! Ring in your Spring with some positivity and motivation!!! Set your intentions today and remind yourself every morning and live as though it were real or on the verge of happening, because it will.
